Nana's Closet goes live....

I can hardly believe that within a few days, the first of my kits for Nana's Closet will be for sale on-line at Scrapbook Shack. Thanks Jillybean for the support and encouragement and the venue to make this happen. Jill and I are starting slow with only 12 of the first kit and I am not anticipating "over night success" but am just thrilled to see this venture actually get off the ground. The second kit is in the works and if Jill and I can get out a new one every other month, I'll be a happy camper.

Wish me luck!

At the Beach

Last Wed. we picked up Steve from the airport and headed back to the beach. It was late so all we had time for was a quiet drink on the patio and off to bed. Nick arrived Thurs and Kristen on Fri. It was like a giant slumber party last night with people and blow up mattresses everywhere. The rest of the group (another 11) arrive at various times through out the day and by nightfall, the circle will be complete.

Last night's sunset was a spectactular welcome for the early arrivals and, with any luck, we'll have another one for shooters at Jimmy B's, our first night tradition.

Off to the beach

I am really looking forward to these next couple of weeks. There is nothing better than to wake early in the morning, grab a cup of coffee and take a long walk on the beach. We got into the habit of rising early long ago and enjoy these quiet times. Most of our friends who share this week with us at our time share sleep in so we start the coffee and set up a table. The sleepy heads stumble out and join us one by one and the day begins.

Chatting about the Crew

I can not imagine how I ever got by without the Cabana Boy Crew. These women are some of the brightest, funniest and most wonderful gals. They cheer me up when I am down, they support me in my endevors, they laugh at my jokes and they love me. And believe me when I say, I love them. We've managed over the past four years to gather a few more into the fold and have lost one or two along the way but the basic philosophy holds us in each other's hearts: men and money may come and go but you'll always have your girlfriends (and a tall cold one delivered by our Cabana Boy).

I often think about the common bond we share besides scrapbooking because we are such a divergent group. Some are married, some have kids, some are single, some have a SO some have a job, some are creating one, some are retired etc. and the only single common demoninator I can come up with is we all love to laugh. Can't wait to see what the rest of the Crew have to say about that one!
A great day spent in St. Augustine in December with our friend Kim and Jerry.

Ok, lets see if I can do this
